1)  South Hungtington Beach is located just north of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana Heights between Pacific Coast Highway and the 405 Freeway.  It consists of over 60 differnt neighborhoods ranging from entry level condos to gated communities like Huntington Place.  There are several newer developments located here like Pacific Shores that offer a wide range of townhouses located just blocks to the beach.

2)  West Huntington Beach is a great area located on the west side of Huntington Beach with over 90 different nieghborhoods to choose from.  Here you will find a lot of condos and homes in gated communities offering various community ammenties like association pool, tennis and clubhouse activities.  Some of the popular townhomes in this neighborhood are Beachwalk, Del Way Townhomes, La Cuesta by the Sea, La Cuesta Racquet Club, Pacific Ranch Townhomes and Seaside Village.  Home on the West side tend to be more expesenive especially as you get closer to the ocean.  There are some great communities like Pierhouse condos where select condo's have great white water ocean views.

3)  Northwest Huntington Beach is located the upper north part of Huntington Beach and closest to the ocean.  Here you will find the most expensive homes for sale in Huntington Beach.  Homes and condos with direct boat access and main channels are the most desirable with views of the different channels of the Huntington Harbor and pacific ocean.  These water front homes are the most desirable and the number of homes with water views is typically abundant.  Communities like Sea Harbour feature affordable condos where some of them have their own private boat docks.  Northwest Huntington Beach consists of over 60 different communities offering similar ammenities found in West Huntington Beach.  The main difference is the close proximity to the Harbor and Pacific Ocean.  If you own a boat then Northwest Huntington Beach is a great place to start.

4)  Northeast Hungtington Beach area is probably the most affordable area of Huntington Beach.  It's located on the just west of Fountain Valley and the 405 Freeway.  Just like the other areas in Huntington Beach there are over 50 different neighborhoods to choose from.

There are many different pockets in Huntington Beach.  Huntington Beach has over 260 different neighborhoods to choose from so picking an area and neighborhood you like probably should be your first start.  Unlike other parts of beach cities in Orange County, Huntington Beach is more affordable and finding a nice single level three bedroom home is easy to find, especially in the $500,000 range.  Competition is very strong for these kind of homes and it's not unusual to have multiple offers on these entry level homes.  If you are looking for homes with water or bay access then finding communities and homes that have boat docks should be your first step.  Because the Huntington Bay has many outlets to it, finding a water front or water view home is easier than you would think.
